30 January - David Guetta confirms Madonna collaboration
It's been several weeks now that David Guetta has been named as a possible collaborator on Madonna's next album. While different sources have been playing the "is he or isn't he" game, Guetta himself has now confirmed to be on Madonna's shortlist during an interview with The Idolator: "I'm now working on Kelly's new album. I also have the new Madonna album coming up." No other details were mentioned.

Madonna & Britney kiss @ VMA 2003The on stage smooch during a performance of Madonna's track Like A Virgin in 2003 was voted the most famous smooch of the last decade, according to the poll conducted by UK department store Selfridges.
The performance - which also saw Madonna kiss Christina Aguilera - made headlines across the world and is one of the most shocking moments in the history of the music channel's annual awards.

A source said: "Madonna performing with both Britney and Christina was a big enough event in itself, but nobody - even the MTV people - expected what happened. It is one of the most memorable moments ever."
Same sex kisses scored highly in the with Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal's famous gay kiss in 2005 film 'Brokeback Mountain' being voted third.
'Bruno' actor Sasha Baron Cohen and Will Ferrell's re-enactment of Madonna and Britney's kiss at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) also made the top ten.

Female on female kisses also proved memorable with the Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson's first public kiss outside New York's Mercer hotel making the top ten list, as well as Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz locking lips in film 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona'.
Other popular smooches were on screen embraces by rumoured real life couples such as Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's steamy scene in 'Twilight' and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in 2005's 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' - which did blossom into a real romance.
Selfridges conducted the poll ahead of its Valentine's Day kissing booth opening at its London store on February 12.

28 January - Sticky & Sweet Tour to air on VH1 February 26th

23 January - Haiti gets Like A Prayer
Last night at the Hope for Haiti Telethon, Madonna gave a stripped down performance of her 1989 #1 single Like A Prayer, backed by longtime guitarist Monte Pittman, and a choir, along with Nicki Richards. Dressed in all black, it seemed like one of Madonna's more spontaneous performances, that got a great reception by viewers. After the number, Madonna tweeted via Guy Oseary: "I'm thrilled to have been a part of such a special night. It's only the beginning of what we all need to do to help rebuild Haiti."



21 January - Madonna to perform at Haiti Telethon
Madonna.com is happy to confirm that Madonna will join the upcoming star studded Telethon to air on every major network this coming Friday evening. Organized and hosted by George Clooney, the Telethon is set to raise millions for the citizens of Haiti, which were affected by the recent earthquake. 19 January - Madonna urges to help Haiti victims
Help Haiti Following the disastreous earthquake in Haïti, Madonna has issued the following statement:
"My prayers are with the people of Haiti. I can't imagine the terrible pain and suffering they are experiencing. Sadly the depths of the tragedy are just becoming known and the need for our support grows more urgent with every passing moment. I have given a donation of $250,000 to assist Haiti's earthquake victims through Partner's in Health (www.pih.org) one of Haiti's leading health care providers. I urge all of my friends and fans around the world to join me collectively to match my contribution or give in any way you can. We must act now. Thank you for your support"

18 January - Sweet Machine intro concept art
Kurt van der Basch, the designer of the Sticky Sweet Tour intro, as part of the Rockstar production company, has published several concept art and story on his site. In its final incarnation, the Sweet Machine intro is heavily inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, setting the tone for Madonna's Willy Wonka-esque interpretation of Candy Shop, but there have been several alternative concepts by van der Basch.
