Personal life

Though still married to Sean, it's no secret that Madonna is dating John Kennedy Jr. Their relationship won't survive the year's end.
While Madonna plays in Speed The Plow, she becomes good friends with actrice Sandra Bernhard. The girls like to play, teasing the press by suggesting they're a lesbian couple. Though some claim Madonna rediscovers her sexuality during this period, she herself has always said that it was only a game.
All the rumours make her marriage only worse, and it comes to a dramatic climax when Sean puts Madonna through physical abuse on Thanksgiving. Madonna files for divorse afterwards.
