Madonna found inspiration for new sound in Lisbon Tejo bar

Source: Instagram - 27 Oct. 2018

In a series of Instagram posts, Madonna explains she found inspiration for her new album when visiting the Tejo bar in Lisbon, Portugal.

As hashtags, she used #fado, the typical Portuguese music genre that dates back to the 19th century, #morna, a music and dance genre from Cape Verde, and #funana, an upbeat music and dance genre, also from Cape Verde, which uses a lot of accordeon.

Madonna reacts against anti-trans policy, calls Americans to vote

Source: Instagram - 24 Oct. 2018

When it comes to fighting for LGBTQ+ rights, Madonna has always been at the forefront. Even in the 80s, when nobody stood up for gay rights and the community was suffering under the terrible AIDS crisis, Madonna spoke out and got the community's back.

With the Trump administration considering to redefine gender in a way that would erase transgenders out of existence, Madonna has spoken out her support for the trans community, while at the same time urging her American fans to vote in the midterms.

Bearing the hashtag that campaigns against the inhumain policy #wontbeerased, Madonna wrote:

We are all on this ship together whether we like it or Not. πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ™Œ United We Stand-Divided We Fall! Trans will not disappear because Humanity Will Prevail

The video promotes - of course - the beauty roller, part of the MDNA Skin product range. Video artist Nuno Xico has directed the video.

Madonna lends guest vocals on Quavo's new single 'Champagne RosΓ©'

13 Oct. 2018

Madonna fans worldwide woke up yesterday surprised to learn that Madonna had lent her vocals on the track 'Champagne RosΓ©' by Quavo. Cardi B also features on the track.

The American rapper Quavo is part of the trio Migos, who are friends with Madonna. In June of this year, Migos filed the music video of their song 'Narcos' at Madonna's house in Miami.

Madonna sings on the chorus:

Please drink me up Champagne RosΓ©
It's my game
Please fill my cup Champagne RosΓ©
It's my name

Later in the song she also sings the following verse:

It's my game
Please let me entertain you
Get inside your vein, too
Intoxicate your brain, ooh
Crazy, what I'll make you
I'll take you for a ride
Turn you up inside
There's nothing you can hide
Crazy, what I'll make you
Crazy, what I'll make you
It's my game
