I Love New York
Lyrics
I don't like cities, but I like New York
Other places make me feel like a dork
Los Angeles is for people who sleep
Paris and London, baby you can keep

                Baby you can keep (8x)

Other cities always make me mad
Other places always make me sad
No other city ever made me glad
                Except New York

                I love New York
                I love New York
                I love New York

If you don't like my attitude, then you can F-off
Just go to Texas, isn't that where they golf?
New York is not for little pussies who scream
If you can't stand the heat, then get off my street

                Get off my street (8x)

Other cities always make me mad
Other places always make me sad
No other city ever made me glad
                Except New York

                I love New York
                I love New York
                I love New York

I love New York (Get off my street, get off my street) (4x)
                (Get off my street) (10x)

Song
The Thin White Duke Mix of this light-hearted song is the B-single for Get Together. A demo version, with a rockier sound is on the I'm Going To Tell You A Secret audio CD, with Madonna being the sole writer of that version.
Tour
Madonna harkened back to the days of glam rock when she opened the third part of the Confessions Tour with I Love New York. She appeared on stage in a leather
jacket with a feathered collar and strapped on the electric guitar. With skyscrapers in the background, Madonna gives a powerful rock performance, even changing a line to the explicit "And you can suck George Bush's d*ck!". On the 4th Paris show, she treated the fans to a surprise, when Lenny Kravitz joined her on stage, together slamming on their guitars.
